Enrique Ramirez, Esq.
Born in Tornillo Texas back when you could cross the border with no documents.
Enrique’s parents were farmworkers who worked in Tornillo for 3/4 years and went back to Mexico to live and work in Torreon Coahulia.
Enrique attended Elementary school in Mexico and, was not a high achieving student but he was the favorite for patriotic recitations during weekly school assemblies
Enrique returned to the states in 1964 and his outlook and life long objectives were shaped by the Civil Rights movement
the anti-Vietnam war movement and the United Farm workers struggle.
He attended several colleges and Universities and managed to graduate but was always drawn to the Music world and co-organized two well known Chicano Music groups, Los Alacranes Mojados in San Diego, Ca. and Los Peludos in S.F.
Somehow, in 1977 he heard the call of the law and was accepted a Hastings Law school form which he graduated in 1980
Enrique passed the bar in 1981 and has been in practice since specializing in the area of Immigration, Personal injury and Employment Discrimination.
He has served as President to the San Francisco La Raza Lawyers Association on four different occasions. Has served on Community nonprofit Board of Directors for Real Alternatives Programs, Capp St. foundation, and the La Raza Community Resource center for 20 years.
Enrique was married to a former Director of LRCRC, Silvia Romero and is the father to Malin Alegria, Vida Nayeli, Suni Serena and Enrique Jr.
